582. Benjamin Franklin for Kids: Amazing People of the World

I came across this book, Benjamin Franklin For Kids: Amazing People of the World, today. 581. Confucian Influence on the United States

With this post I would like to show that impact of Dr. Dave Wang's examination of Confucian influence on the United States. Below is the snapshot from the Google search. The first one, Confucius and Benjamin Franklin, is my article based on my speech at the academic conference in New York in April 2017. Next is that The Routledge Companion to Transnational American Studies,  a valuable reference book for students in American studies worldwide, quotes my academic articles. The third is that, China Through American Eyes: Early Depictions of the Chinese Culture and People in the U.S. Print Media, by Dr. Zhang Wenxin,  a well-know scholar in the  field of Chinese-American cultural history cites my research paper. Number 4 is my research was discussed in the book, Narrative Inquiries from Fulbright Lecturers in China Cross-cultural Connections in Higher Education, published in 2019. The fifth is that my paper, Benjamin Franklin and China published by the official website of the committee, which the former President George Bush Jr. served as honorary chairman. The committee was formed in honor the 300 anniversary of birth of  Benjamin Franklin, one of great founders of the United States. The last one is that my article From Confucius to the Great Wall: Chinese Cultural Influence on the United States, published by Japan academic journal, is based on my speech at Kokushikan University in 2010. 

580. Founders and Chinese Teas

We have learned that all founders of the United States loved Chinse tea, including George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and Benjamin Franklin. George Washington loved Chinse tea for his entire life. As a bachelor, George Washington had beautiful tea sets made from China. John Adams and John Quincy Adams were both avid tea lovers. George Washington liked Black Tea. He had three cups of tea in the days when he and his soldiers spent hard time in the Valley Forge. According to a resources,  Thomas Jefferson was a fan of green tea, presumably produced in the Anhui province of China. Paul Revere made silver tea pots.

579. Education About Asia: The US Founders and China

I have found that Dr. Dave Wang's academic articles have been adopted as teaching texts by some universities and colleges at home and abroad. Certain high schools have also used Dr. Wang's research papers as teaching materials. Below is the snapshot of the content page of Education About Asia, published by the Association for Asian Studies. Dr. Dave Wang's article is the first one in the group of articles about the United States' connection with Asia. Dr. Wang's research results have helped us to understand further the cultural origins of this nation in addition to European thoughts of the Enlightenment Age. With great insight, the founders made their great efforts to borrow all positive factors from other civilization, including Chinese civilization. This is one of the reasons that make the United States a great nation in the world.

578. University of Zurich Collected Dr. Dave Wang's Research Paper

With this post I present my readers with three snapshots demonstrating that the influence of Dr. Dave Wang's study of Chinese cultural impact on the west and the United States in particular. According to its website, the aim of the Asia Orient Institute, founded in 2013, is to strengthen Asian research and teaching at the University of Zurich. By combining the five subjects of Indology, Islamic Studies, Japanese Studies, Sinology and Gender Studies in a common institute structure, Zurich's focus on Asia within and outside the university should become even more visible.

577. Benjamin Franklin Forever: The Man Who Made America Great

I have found that the Book, titled "Benjamin Franklin Forever: . The Man Who Made Great Influence on America Whose Legacy Will Never Die and Who Never Had Time for Sleep" has included Dr. Dave Wang's Paper, " Benjamin Franklin and China: A Survey of Benjamin Franklin's efforts at Drawing Positive Elements from Chinese Civilization during the Formative Age of the United States." This paper was published in 2007 by the official website dedicated to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the birth of Ben Franklin, one of the great founders of the United States.

576. Dream of Confuicus Include Benjamin Franklin and Confucius in Its Course

Dr. Dave Wang's examination of Chinese cultural influence has attracted attention worldwide. With this time when 2020 just unfolded, I came across the information that a vocational school in Australia has included Dr. Wang's speech made in 2016 in its new collection, called Dream ofConfucius. According to its website, QIBA (Queensland International Business Academy) is an Australian government registered training organization delivering full time Nationally Accredited Vocational Education courses. It demonstrates the fact that Dr. Dave Wang's academic articles and speeches have been not only adopted as teaching texts by universities, colleges, high schools, but also by vocational schools in Australia.  Below you will see the photo of the collection:
